Uncertainty

It's an interesting feeling, uncertainty. I'm in a state of it, but so tired from cookie baking, that I'm missing the frenetic energy that usually accompanies it. What is left is a bit of a void. I have a picture in front of me, of a descent into the Mammouth Caves of Kentucky. It's a mysterious yawn in the earth, with well worn steps leading the way. And so it is to walk with uncertainty, suddenly a bit of a fun concept. Others have walked this path before. It is interesting, mysterious. What lies around the corner? And uncertainty leads to certainty, that wonderful whole feeling of munching on homemade bread, a potato, carbohydrates. Am I too strange?

So Friday's art/craft show at work went well. I enjoyed the support of my coworkers. The delivery of the the interactive calendar wasn't entirely there, but fonts were well used and I was able to convey the creative work space concept. I spoke with enthusiasm. My sensitivity was a bit off, but I was incredibly nervous going into this, so that's okay.

By Saturday I launched into holiday preparations, and packages bound for Wisconsin, Savannah, Florida and Texas are near ready for the mail. The tree is up, and I feel as well prepared for mid month going into the holidays as I ever have.

So,.. what next? Saatchi is holding a fine art contest beginning today, collage. I haven't done professional collage yet, but am interested in giving it a go. I may work with my "Culture Gone Bad" piece, inspired by asbestos and cream. I'll have to explain, but not this morning. Time to get ready for work.

Oh, and the printer. My last blog mentioned my fear of it. I stalled but finally got it cooking, lost for a while my hesitance, and felt its power. Lovely!

Take care!, and Happy Holidays.
