HoveringLast week I posed "beating cancer before it beats me" as a purpose. On review, the words feels selfish. I also wrote that I aimed to "... apply the creative process to overcome real world problems." But one can not guarantee success. Better to confront then overcome. Thanksgiving is days away, and a season of plenty has begun. In the whirl of shopping and cooking and eating, I have returned to abstract drawing with pen and ink. I have more gravity and balance, and am more able to connect with others. These three reflections lead me to a revision (#2) of my purpose statement, "to apply the creative process to confront turmoil and find balance." How will I measure success?
Break aparet the word "disease", and you find dis+ease. A glorious body capable of power, empathy, and inspiration, at times grows complacent. And like rebellious children, the various parts and functions of the body then grow disfunctional. Okay, so to jump a bit, I expect to provide fresh insight on the following:
I plan to sketch out starter topics and a review of territory already covered soon. I want to pick up the Omega 3/6 debate (I love organic milk and eggs), and Jim (my husband) has asked that I delve into the quality of Omaha Beef in relation to Vienna beef and organic sources. I've already started a routine of freezing homemade broths and tomato sauces, and regularly supplementing my dog's feed with food prepared myself. So I definately have some content in mind. I look forward to seeing how the content wraps itself around my art. But for now I'll step away and contemplate turmoil. For the purposes of blog, do I only want to enter the arena if the first step is turmoil? Take me back to Cindy's Blog Homepage / Pembroke Designs Homepage
